Hi there! I'm a French woman living in Oslo for the moment :) I do love traveling, especially the human and connecting part of it! From the beginning of June 2025 to July, I'll do a solo trip through Europe by train! Here's my plan: if you feel like our roads may cross, don't hesitate to reach out! Is Oslo safe for women?

I stayed & travelled around Oslo for 3 weeks. As someone from the U.S., I felt safer walking around at night there than I ever have in the daylight here. Transportation is safe & easy w/the Reuter app
Posted: November 16, 2025Oslo is quite safe, in general. Of course there are incidents here too, but I feel it’s safer than other countries. Maybe the Friday and Saturday nights are a bit more intense because of drunk people
Posted: October 22, 2025I have been living here one year and going out alone sometimes and using public transportation, walked around in dark. I haven’t experienced any criminal behaviour myself and feel quite safe. I would be more alert in some areas like Grønland, Tøyen and area around Oslo S.
