Expat Women in Agadir

Agadir, in my opinion is a safe city for a girl to explore, of course there’s some areas that are a little risky, but those are obvious to any visitor (they’re generally empty of people and avoided by the public) there are some shameless attempts at catcalling thrown at me every once in a while but they rarely if ever develop into something serious. Public transportation may seem scary at first but it’s very safe, in my experience, if somebody tries to pickpocket or something like that, he’s quickly noticed and stopped by the public. But late night walks may seem risky in certain places but if you stick to main streets you have nothing to fear( just beware of passing cars, some people get very stupid and try to convince you to go for a ride)

Depending on the area you are visiting, safety measures will vary. In the touristic area, it is very safe for women to walk alone during the day or at night, but there are a few old residential areas around the city that i wouldn’t recommend you go to on your own, especially at night.
