Shama
Marrakesh
Hey ! I’m Shama, 28yo living in gorgeous Marrakech ! I live in a cute little house 10min from the city ( love me some peace and quiet, closer to the Atlas Mountains as well ! ) with my husband, our 2 amazing female doggies, lily and pumpkin, a turtle named turtle who would def nibble on your toe for a piece of fruit, 2 bird families that we don’t own but who decided to make nests around the house ! So yeah quite the happy bunch and lively home ! I work as an assistant in a Montessori school, and spend 1/3 of the year in Tanzania studying to become a Montessori guide ! My husband is a real Swiss Army knife with everything relating to design/photography and so many other things AND loves cooking from scratch, very lucky gal over here 💃🏻 ! We love hosting, sharing stories and life moments, eating good food, Rock climbing, camping around Morocco 🇲🇦!

It’s safe just keep an eye on your belongings. Don’t walk alone at night. During the day the streets are bustling and busy. Pickpocketing is a threat in these conditions. Haven’t experienced any violence or sexual harassment
Posted: August 14, 2025Not very safe, unfortunately had some bad experiences. People trying to scam us all the time even the mocal guides. People getting angry if you dont wanna buy. For example in ait ben hadou the guide said that we had to pay an entrance when thetr was no entrance. The little factories of argan oil bully you to buy their overpeiced products etc. You agree a price, you go to pay they try and charge even more. Menu prices in the restaurants where the guides made us eat (he did not let us choose) were similar to mainland Europe (14-20 euro).
