Is Udaipur safe for women?

Udaipur is usually safe for women, I mean I have been living here since 7 years and I have drived home alone at 2 am, without worrying...I would say there are crimes here, but not the kind of crimes which would make me feel unsafe as a girl. Also the local people of this region ( Mewar) are very helpful and kind...So there is no need to worry even if you come solo.
Posted: May 17, 2025Mostly safe. Just follow the basic/general safety rules as a female solo traveller, that should be more than enough. The people are very welcoming here. Keep some extra space for shopping coz I'm sure you'd love taking some of the articles with you!
Posted: December 26, 2024Udaipur is a relatively safe city. People mostly are very hospitable and helpful but as it goes, we can’t really ever be too carefree, so I recommend always to be alert of your surroundings, especially if you’re travelling solo.
