Καλημέρα, I'm Ariadne a German student who fell in love with Crete and this city. I work in the animal shelter and I would be happy to share my knowledge about this island and learn new things and perspectives from all over the world. I love camping, cleaning, cats and having Ouzo in the Tavern. I have two lovely cats, a couch to share and I live in the city center.

Is Heraklion safe for women?

It's really safe Especially compared to other places. I have had some experiences of sexual harassment but that was only in remote places. Unfortunately or fortunately men from Muslim countries are more prone to harassment. So try to avoid them just for safety! We do not support racism of course but we are aware of the situation.
