Is Murwillumbah safe for women?

Grew up here and lived here until I moved away as an adult. It has always been a safe little Aussie town, has become a lot more touristy now so it caters to visitors and treats them well as they are a huge part of the economy. Lots of places to eat, very walkable, just a loop around the 2 main streets really.
