Bohol is fairly safe. You can go anywhere with a peace of mind. Although it’s rural, there are places that are relatively lively at night. I would say scams and overcharging visitors are the main concern. It’s a worry that there’s many cases where visitors get ripped off. So just watch out for them. Locals are nice and friendly.
Posted: October 22, 2024I travelled solo to Bohol and hands down, it was one of the best experiences. The locals are very hospitable and when they have known that I travelled solo, they connect me to people that can help me travel. The food is really tasty. However, Alona, Panglao can be a bit pricey.
