Posted: April 15, 2025Lima, Peru is suffering from many extortions, so if you are coming specifically to Lima, I recommend NOT using public transportation and avoiding the districts: Callao, Los Olivos, Comas, San Juan de Lurigancho, and Cercado de Lima.

Lima is not the safest place , you have to know which parts of Lima you can walk around for example Miraflores, barranco, san isidro, and historical center are the safest. if you are aware of this you would find your self having a good time and not feeling scare.

In some places or districtis could be a little bit more dangerous than the centric ones like Miraflores, Barranco or Jiron de la Union, the main kind of trasport like train, Metropolitano and corredores are regulary safe in the stations and clean. There are some points out of the centric ones but its so easy to come back to your secure point.
Posted: February 27, 2025The safest districts in Lima are Miraflores, San Isidro, Part of Barranco and San Borja. If you want to take transport, it is better to only Uber or Cabify. Please do not show your mobile phone in the streets.

Be cautious and avoid displaying expensive items in public. Always stay aware of who is around you, whether beside or behind you. Don't receive drinks from strangers. Only take safe taxis using apps, and send someone your location

Its not dangerous, but not safe enough to walk with the cellphone on the hand. I always prefer to take taxis from apps because its safer, but public transport is safe enough, although unorganized. Miraflores and San Isidro are much safer than other places.

It is not safe at all for people in general, and less form women. But certain districts are more or less safe. Also public tranaportation is terrible so if it's your first time here, try to use it with a local.

I can say it’s kinda safe, not at all. But sometimes at night it’s not good to walk alone as a girl because the level of danger and the cops are not always around the streets, so it’s better not transit to this area
Posted: January 9, 2025Tourist areas can be quite busy and bad people could take advantage of that to take things out of your pockets, hands or purse. I will say that if you have to be precautious and aware of your surroundings while walking. Try not to use your phone on the streets and don’t drive with the windows down.

Personally, I really like Tacna, because despite being a small city, it has a lot to offer, especially the food and beautiful places. Without a doubt, Peruvian cuisine is delicious. It's a good weekend plan.
Posted: April 14, 2025Experienced: February, 2025Yes, it was all very nice. If you haven't bought tickets, you can get them a day before in the same city of Machu Picchu. However, the line is long, and if they call out numbers, everything is organized, but if many people go, the time slots can run out. But if you are already in Cusco and don't have tickets for Machu Picchu, it's a good alternative. If you have any questions, you can write to me, and I'll help you as it was a very nice experience.
