I stayed in Texel for 3 months as I went there for work purposes but it was one of the greatest experiences in my life!🧡 The country has great job opportunities for international people and moving is so easy and comfortable: I had the chance to go to Amsterdam and Alkmaar with little budget and had so much fun.💃 They also organise parties and races for the passionate ones; but if you are more of the natural kind, it is an excellent place to reconnect with nature 🌿 As a solo young female traveler, I felt 100% safe. The mood is really chill and friendly for everyone (Dutch or not). It can be expensive as it is the summer location for numerous rich families but it won’t absolutely make any difference at the end of the day, everyone is treated respectfully and kindly (I know it from first hand as I was a barista). Definitely recommend it !
Posted: September 19, 2024Experienced: May, 2023I felt totally safe. All islanders are totally nice, speak English or German. Nature is beautiful, animals everywhere, especially sheep. There are more sheep on Texel than people, so you can find small lambs at any time of the year. On the west side are white beaches and impressive dunes. And in the east is in the Wadden Sea with a great bike path along. Perfect for recreation. As everywhere in the Netherlands, there is at least one mini campsite in almost every village. The ones I visited all clean and quiet. Texel is perfect for learning to surf through the mostly gentle but cold North Sea. The lighthouse in the far north is enchanting and definitely worth a climb.

Hi sisters, i'm Lisa and I live on the beautiful island of Texel in the Netherlands. I met some lovely sisters on my last trip and definitely want to meet some more. I don't know if there even are people on this app that know the island, but lets give it a try :) I'm also able to come to Amsterdam, Haarlem or Alkmaar or maybe another dutch city. Its a pity that I can't host someone at the moment, otherwise I invited you all to come visit the island! I'm a very easy going, polite, funny and talkative girl who loves it to be around people. I actually like a lot of things.. going for a walk, spend time in nature, explore new places, listen to some good music or have a good conversation over a cup of tea.
