Overall, the touristy areas in Kuala Lumpur (Petaling Street, KLCC, etc) are quite safe, the only thing is that it can get crowded so I would just be a bit more careful with my belongings to be extra safe and vigilant. Like any other city, avoid walking alone at night, especially in less touristy areas. Another thing to note is that the MRT (train lines) in Malaysia have women only coaches so you can opt for these as you travel around KL. For other public transport options, it is recommended to use grab rather than taxis since you get the price upfront.
Posted: November 6, 2024Safe but don’t test it. Avoid dark alleys, wearing too flashy items or appear lost and not confident. Most spots are safe, just some areas or when your sling bags are just too exposed and you appear vulnerable. I go out late night all the time but always stay cautious and mindful where i am
Posted: October 23, 2024Klang is a pretty safe area during day and nothing to be worried about. During night, like always it’s always important to be aware of the surroundings to not fall as victim. There’s plenty of police station and CCTV for the safety
Posted: October 21, 2024Snatch thieves and petty crimes if you're not paying attention. Always carry your handbag towards you body and don't walk too close to street where motorbikes can grab your handbag( eg when walking on the curbside) motorcyclist can drive by and steal your handbag if you just let it swing freely Other than that, it is safe, filled with aggressive drivers. Dress modestly or be prepared for men to stare

Posted: October 10, 2024Kuala Terengganu is very safe, located near to the beach. Kuala Terengganu has lots to offer, and lots of attractions especially islands such as Redang Island, Perhentian Island and Kapas Island. The foods are great and the people are the kindest people ever. They can be very helpful and friendly.

Kuala Lumpur is a fairly safe capital city to visit. However, you need to be cautious when visiting a few places after 11 pm like Chow kit and Petaling Street, If you are a party social butterfly, then Bukit Bintang is your place - happening with an array of pubs and clubs aligned in the street. Just be careful not to leave your drink unattended. .I guess this is an international safety precaution.🙂

In general Puchong is very safe for solo female traveler, the only safety issue is the snatch thief who operates on motorcycle and target handbags and phones, so it is advised that you do not hold your phone while you walk and keep your handbag close to your body when you walk around busy area. I generally avoid walking alone in unlit area after dark, but if there is businesses around it is generally safe.

Selangor is safe until you find yourself as a foreigner especially, alone at night or hours that are not too busy. Of course the men are the ones posing the safety risk. I would advise being cautious at all times and keeping yourself in areas that are not secluded.
Posted: September 7, 2024Kuala Lumpur is generally safe for solo female travelers. Use rideshares like Grab, stay vigilant against petty crimes, dress modestly, and avoid isolated or poorly lit areas at night. Be aware of your surroundings.
