It feels really safe, in my opinion having the free transportation changes the vibe of the city and helps you feel at ease. The people around in the streets are mostly workers from France Belgium and Germany so it feels very corporate in most places and even the youth doesn't really make trouble. You should only be careful with the homeless people but there's a lot of centers available for them so you don't see them in the streets too often anymore

It’s mostly safe but depends a bit on the area. Train stations are very safe with a lot of security agents at all times even during the night. We don’t have a very high crime rate. Emergency agents (police, ambulance) are very reactive and efficient.

While you do read about some occasional crime on the news and hear about it from relatives, I myself have never been victim to any aggravated crime. Of course, you aren't safe from harassment- As a woman, you unfortunately never are, but I'd say that it isn't particularly prounced. Considering I've always lived here I haven't been in serious danger before.

I live in a village and I actually feel relatively safe there. In the slightly larger cities or the capital, I try to avoid areas like around the railway station, as I think the crime and drug rates are higher there

Luxembourg is one of the safest countries in the world. Some petty crime has been on the rise in the train station area but nothing too worrisome. Public transport is free and safe; Luxembourg police are friendly and always willing to help

I felt safe, it was amazing to see all the palaces and quiet streets in the middle of winter. In summer the atmosphere and landscape would be definitely better though. Food was amazing and public transport is free and comfortable!
