Its grand - the most Irish thing you can say. I take the bus and walk home from work some days. Bus drivers are mostly pleasant late at night however they can be really late some days. Watch out for those randomly walking and you know they are on something
Posted: May 15, 2025Except the dumb and evil drunk people that are rare the city is safe. You don't have to worry about your stuff being stolen or getting rape, kidnap or mog. The people are very approachable if need be
Posted: March 22, 2025As a queer woman I feel pretty safe in the city walking alone during the day or night. Yes from time to time you may bump into some drunk jerks but they pretty much ignore you if you do so too. It is pretty much safe here

Cork is genuinely extremely safe for women. I have never felt unsafe or threatened, and I have never had any crime committed against me. I walk home alone at night often, and I have never had anything scary happen. Iām not saying it never happens to others, but that is not my experience.

Cork is relatively safe, the odd bollocks once in a while but most of the time it's sound. Maybe a bit better if you're in a group, especially at night. A bit of common sense and don't provoke the large groups who are doing to show off for their pals, and you'll be grand.

I can recommend going out of the city to the countryside-Fota Island, great place to feel united with nature, hike in the woods, and see the giant wildlife zoo, where you can see kangaroos jumping around the woods! I was fascinated with the giant trees and garden with rare trees, which are all very old, and looking like from fairytale! Also you will be very safe in the countryside even hiking alone in the woods. Cork itself is pretty safe too in the centre, but not so much in the periphery, we went 10 minutes walking from city centre towards the periphery and there were no shops, no people, only one very wreaky pub and an a drunkard who followed us for several minutes telling us something incoherent.

Heyyy I am a big foodie! I have been working in Ireland for 5 years, recently started traveling around Europe. I like to do solo-trips but I also like to connect with locals so I can better understand the city and their life styles and stories :) I am very adventurous, I like to try new experiences and explore new hobbies. I like scuba diving, it brings me a new whole world of under water. I also like boxing as a new hobby this year, it makes me feel alive and stronger ! I am tidy and respectful, hope to build connections over the world and make good friendship ! š
