I would say that in the center of the city and “good/rich” neighborhoods it is quite safe, especially during the day. In more distant areas it can be more dangerous, but me or people I know don’t have bad experience, so I can’t say for sure

Personally I’ve never been a victim of any assault, I’ve never been robbed or anything, however I’ve heard from friends that their phone got stolen or were touched inappropriately. As I know they don’t happen often. Usually I don’t walk in streets at night, so can’t say much about a nighttime, but at a daytime I feel pretty safe and don’t really worry about much, but still the chances are never 0 of such stuff happening so be careful. Stay safe<3
Posted: April 9, 2025Tbilisi is like an old woman who is always happy to host everyone. Touristy places are alive most of the night, so I don't think you should worry. However, be aware of your surroundings if you are outside the city center, as crime and theft are a bit high in those neighborhoods. As everywhere, be safe and take care.

Tbilisi is pretty safe overall, especially in central areas of the city. I often walk around alone after midnight in Vake-Saburtalo district (close to the city center) and I haven’t had any unpleasant experience. However, you might feel a bit unsafe in suburban areas or around central stations at night.
Posted: February 20, 2025For me Tvilisi is the safest cuty, everywhere are some weird people with weird comments, but I have not heard or felt anything bad here. You can walk alone in city center without worry, people are friendly and helpful
Posted: February 2, 2025The main streets are very safe whether it is day or night. However there is a little more chance to be someone crazy walking in the dark streets outside the main squares and avenues. Most of the Georgians are hospitable, love tourists and foreigners. However, sometimes older generations are a bit homophobic. They might stare or say something, it is very rare for someone to attack foreigners in Tbilisi.
Posted: January 26, 2025most of the time , its safe city especially at midday, or if you are using public transport or public places, but at night , streets are narrow and little bit dark if its not the main ones, there are also dangerous regions , which i wouldn’t recommend visit, there are weird people there, overall you are safe , but its best if you know your way around and you are not alone 🫶
Posted: January 20, 2025I had few incidents and creepy people are there who stare. But it depends on time and location i guess and I hope you have safe when you get anywhere Make ur surroundings clear and safe and be with people or crowds
Posted: January 15, 2025In Tbilisi, there are many different types of people, yet it is one of the safest cities in Georgia. I frequently walk around the city at night, and I have never had the feeling of being kidnapped or anything like that.

Tbilisi is a really safe city, especially now. Sometimes bad things happen, but this is very rare, especially when compared to other countries. The only thing that is the most common to happen to you as tourists is that they can sell some kind of activity (like riding a boat, driving an electric car, etc.) for an insane price. Although, I always say - a woman is never 100% safe, even at home. So anyway ladies, be careful, don't trust strange people. Also : now in the center of the city there are protests, the police are firing tear gas, people are being chased away with water cannons. Not that I'm saying not to go there, if you want to support protesters - this is a warning to you - wear special eye and respiratory protection, and keep a saline with you.

Tbilisi is a vibrating city with many beautiful places to explore. We really liked the old town, but went to see the less frequent neighbourhoods as well where we also felt safe and comfortable. People are usually nice, and we had several good expreience with transportation (quick answers to our emails, helpful people at public transport etc). Public transport was clean and easy to use. We used marshrutka to travel to Gori, and it was quite easy and safe to do that. To travel to Kutaisi Airport we used Georgian bus, it was easy to book tickets and the bus arrived in time to the Airport. Food was delicious there, even as a vegetarian I was always able to find nice and tasty options. Nature was unbelievably beutiful around us, but unfortunately we hadn’t had enough time to explore the mountens of Georgia, so it is on our bucket list now. The only place where I felt a little bit uncomfortable was the train station, but we arrived at 1:00 AM with a train from Yerevan and that time the station was very empty, so we have caught a taxi quickly (I should add that I’m not a brave person overall, so this can influence my experience). We went back to see the station at daylight and we had a very different experience with it that time.
Posted: September 2, 2024Well, the city is really safe, but here's a lot of homeless people who are asking for money. But views are gorgeous everywhere in tbilisi. Also, if you have some health problems or you are not used to walking, be careful as there're hills everywhere, and it was kinda hard to walk, especially in summer when it's 35° outside
