Extremely safe as compared to most places I've been. The only issue I faced was pickpocket in crowded areas. Apart from making obvious mistakes such as leaving your things unattended if you take general precautions it's completely safe.
Posted: June 18, 2025it's not very safe in suburbs, be safe at night and don't forget to lock the door. don't put your phone in back pocket in meyro, i have never seen stealing phone but still be careful. also be careful with your stuff while in crowd.
Posted: May 25, 2025Tbilisi is pretty safe, even at night. People are friendly, and crime is low. Just stay aware like in any city. I walk around a lot and feel totally fine — it’s a chill and welcoming place! i feel safe
Posted: May 15, 2025Tbilisi is a safe city, and I am not scared to walk alone at night. Most people are hospitable and like to help foreigners. However, it is not an LGBTQ-friendly city, and you may experience aggression because of it.
Posted: April 29, 2025I think Tbilisi is not safe when you are a girl and walking alone, especially in dark, I often have to walk alone but I always go to places with a lot of people to always feel protected from creeps. I wish all the girlies safe travel and safe life ❤️

Tbilisi is quite safe place for tourists, especially in touristic places such as city center, which is quite a large territory. I think normally you would feel safe in suburbs of the city, too but it's better for your peace of mind to be a little cautious during the night time, if you need to go through suburb places of the city. Also be aware of stray dogs, they are mostly taken care of, but personally i'm afraid of dogs and that would be important fact to know when travelling to new cities. ❤️

Tbilisi is extremely inexpensive in my opinion. You can use the metro for 90 mins as cheap as 0.40$. And since I'm a student here I get to travel for 0.08 yesss and I'm not joking. It's great for hiking the caucasus mountains are a must to experience. Overall food not great but good.

September and October are honestly the best time to visit Tbilisi. It’s not too hot anymore, the weather is super comfortable — perfect for walking around and really taking in the city. We went as a big group, but my friend and I often explored places on our own, which was actually really nice. If you want to see more of the city and not feel stuck in the tourist center, I’d recommend staying somewhere near Marjanishvili Square. It’s a bit calmer, but still very central and full of character. Tbilisi feels safe overall, though it’s good to keep in mind that some local men can be a bit patriarchal. We had a bit of catcalling here and there, but nothing too intense — people were mostly super kind and always ready to help. And the food? Incredible. Everything we tried was amazing. Especially the chashushuli, ojakhuri, and this one soup — I wish I remembered the name — but it was so rich and flavorful, I’m still thinking about it.
