I’ve lived in Kutaisi all my life, and it’s truly a safe and welcoming city. I feel comfortable walking around almost anytime. But I’ll be honest: sometimes when I walk alone at night, my own imagination runs wild with little fantasies, and that makes me a bit cautious. Still, Kutaisi’s calm streets and kind people always make me feel protected and at home.

I can say that it's a very safe place compared with other countries I've visited, you can walk at night safely here and most of the people are nice and friendly. Taxi drivers are usually friendly. It's better to take taxi by application, can't tell anything about hitch-hiking during the night, probably I'd never do that

Extremely safe as compared to most places I've been. The only issue I faced was pickpocket in crowded areas. Apart from making obvious mistakes such as leaving your things unattended if you take general precautions it's completely safe.
Posted: June 18, 2025it's not very safe in suburbs, be safe at night and don't forget to lock the door. don't put your phone in back pocket in meyro, i have never seen stealing phone but still be careful. also be careful with your stuff while in crowd.
Posted: May 25, 2025Tbilisi is pretty safe, even at night. People are friendly, and crime is low. Just stay aware like in any city. I walk around a lot and feel totally fine — it’s a chill and welcoming place! i feel safe
Posted: May 15, 2025Tbilisi is a safe city, and I am not scared to walk alone at night. Most people are hospitable and like to help foreigners. However, it is not an LGBTQ-friendly city, and you may experience aggression because of it.

Try khacapuri and khinkali at cafe daphna, go to zurab t. Museum and monument, walk around the old town and try some georgeus geprgian wines. I recommend you to stay at fabrika hostel. It was so much fun i had great time in georgia/tblisi and felt safe at any hour 🖤

People were very helpful and kind. Most people know russian more than english. Definitely be careful if hiring a car especialy in Tblisi they drive a bit crazy. Would definitely recomend.
