Banja Luka is generally a safe city. People are friendly and welcoming, and issues like theft or violence are rare. As in any city, you should take care of your personal belongings, especially in crowded places like markets or public transport. At night, it's best to stick to well-lit and busy streets. Overall, Banja Luka is a peaceful and pleasant place to visit or live in.

Mostar is really safe city. But as a woman I am always worried a little bit. I never had any problem with anything in my city. Sometimes when there are local football matches, it can be little bit ‘dangerous’ but it’s all okay most of the time cuz there is police everywhere ✨
Posted: December 26, 2024I would say it’s a safe city; the crime rate is low, but there are some exceptions, as there are everywhere. People are nice and polite; I personally haven’t been harassed by anyone in any way. The city is full of migrants, though, and they could be the ones making trouble.
Posted: November 4, 2024It's pretty safe. I haven't had any specific bad experiences, but I still take some precautions when returning home late, e.g. I always take a taxi as it's cheap here. You can call 1517 or 1525 - reliable taxi services and be sure to come home safely. During the day, you shouldn't have any problems in the city, as it's a smaller city so there aren't specific bad neighborhoods.
Posted: August 23, 2024Safety will vary based on what you look like. I'm a visibly queer woman so I speak from my own experience. If you are visibly gay, or are traveling with a gay man or a trans person, please choose where you go and who you go with wisely. Most of Bosnia is not gay friendly and you will be at risk. Sarajevo is pretty open, but even there you will need to tone everything down. Fun parties tho, even has a gay underground scene you can explore if you know a local that can show you around. For everyone else, Bosnia is extremely safe and you will never worry about being robbed or hurt in any way. For my gays, stay safe.

The biggest problem in the last 1 year is traffic, there was a lot of crashes but overall its a safe place, In 80% cases you wont experience bad things, yes, there are rude and bad people but most of them are amazing.
Posted: June 1, 2024Široki Brijeg is a pretty small and safe place to be. It only has around 20000 residents, and there is not much happening. Bad things rarely occur. I consider tourists to be very safe, as I think there is no threat to them.

Food was good, people were nice. TIP If u want to buy something in a local street store better ask someone local if he / she can buy it for you. Because when they hear turist price is double😆 .......

Montenegro
The trip to Visoko was my first solo trip 😊. I felt very safe and the locals were very willing to help with everything. The pyramids and parks are really something special and I would like to come again
