I felt very safe during my solo trip in Baku. They really try to take good care of public safety. Everyone was kind to me wherever I went. The only downside is that not many people speak English, but everybody tried their best.
Posted: February 1, 2026I felt very safe in Baku. The city overall felt very clean and since I was Turkish there were no language gap for me. I met new people and they were all very nice and respected. The food and sightseeings were amazing. There are many different things to do in here.

It was good; the food was amazing. I felt safe because it’s a Muslim country, and the people are good. Azerbaijan has beautiful nature, and what I love most are the food and the people. Baku is also beautiful; the night view of Baku is amazing.

I have lived here all my life. Baku is generally a safe city with low violent crime, and most areas feel secure. However, gender issues exist, such as unwanted attention toward women and traditional attitudes in public spaces.

Baku is a pretty safe space, as a female I have never really felt uncomfortable (and I liking walking at nights) In the last decade, the rate of theft has been minimal. The only thing, I would advise other women to check the location, because as far the center is safe, I can't say the same about the city's outskirts.

I’m 37 and a mom of two wonderful kids. I absolutely love traveling and have explored many beautiful corners of Europe — though I haven’t made it to Asia yet, it’s definitely on my list! I’m passionate about reading and dancing — both bring me so much joy. These days, I’m enjoying a peaceful life outside the city. I’d be happy to show you around or share a cup of coffee together.
