This city is a very safe city. I think it is a city where you can feel comfortable. You can walk around freely in the evenings and no one will bother you. You can find people and police everywhere you can ask for help.
Posted: January 9, 2025It is really safe place. If we consider that everything is under control it makes us comfortable. No one can kidnap you or do some sexual things or even make you worry about it, not possible. If you're normal person on her own way, no one will disturb you
Posted: January 2, 2025It is mostly safe city, you can walk alone IF YOU ARE IN THE CITY CENTER, If you are not in the city center and foreign woman, man can try to harass you, because in their eyes, foreign women are easy, because smexual intercourse is taboo, so men here are very hungry in that sense, do not smile at men, please. You think you are being nice but in their eyes you are flirting

Posted: December 30, 2024I think Baku overall is a safe place for tourists. But as a woman, I believe we should think of being cautious wherever we are so more cautious, more safe. Baku is my hometown (I lived there more than 20 years), I haven't came across with any danger. Besides that, Baku is a place worth visiting at least once. There are lots of historically important places, entertainment, good restaurants, lively bars, and nice people. Definitely recommend visiting!
Posted: August 24, 2024Baku is safer than most of the cities I believe. You will not be robbed or attacked by anybody for most of the cases. Of course, as a traveler, you should be careful, especially, at night or walking around the places can be dangerous, out of the city center, but generally, I think for tourists, Baku is pretty safe and a nice place to visit. Our people are very hospitable and you are always very welcomed.
Posted: July 27, 2024It's beautiful city in for me. It's my motherland. Also I like it . I live in this city for my education and work. Baku has beautiful weather, old place , fresh air , hospitality person and so on. This is heart of Azerbaijan
Posted: June 26, 2024I feel much more safe in Baku than most Europe cities. Even after 1-2 am there are many cars and people in the street, so you don't feel alone at night and you can see police cars regularly. I don't feel much stressed when I return home at nights either by public transportation or by walk.

It was good; the food was amazing. I felt safe because it’s a Muslim country, and the people are good. Azerbaijan has beautiful nature, and what I love most are the food and the people. Baku is also beautiful; the night view of Baku is amazing.

Its indeed very disappointing to say that baku is not at all safe for women at night specially women who are travelling alone. Every men around you is obnoxious and would stare you as if he is going to rape you. Day 1 till day 5 most of the men i met were very vile and bad and all they would look at you as if they would rape you even try to eve tease you and if you revolt back they would make sure you learn a lesson for pointing out the inadequate behaviour of men towards you.
