I went solo with my son to Marbella. 
The hotel we stayed in was great for children with waterslides, a big and shallow kids pool. 
We went to a safari park and walked around Marbella. 
I felt safe with my son there, and also felt extra vigilant because of having my young child there, unnecessarily so as it was very safe feeling there
