Solo travel experience
I spent a few days solo in Lima in January this year. I really enjoyed my time (stayed in Miraflores) and had no issues. Did a great walking tour, had some amazing food, and everyone was very friendly. I recommend sticking to the usual safety tips and not walking alone after dark.

Worked remote from Lima for 2 months and loved it. Friendly culture, lots to do, affordable, easy to get around. Felt safe as a female solo traveller The food is incredible! It’s easy to eat and live healthily in Peru. Lots of activities

Personally, I was not a fan of Lima. The traffic was terrible and I spent ages getting from one place to another (used Uber). The historic centre had some amazing buildings and it was worth spending a day there. I stayed in Miraflores. I felt safe walking around there but was careful at night.

I'm planning two days alone in Lima, Peru before a cruise. Any suggestions for where to stay and what to do when I'm there? I'd like to stay close to the port to make it easy to get to the ship.
