Prokletije National Park, Solo travel

I did the Peak of the Balkans trek in Prokletije mountains, and it was an amazing experience! I did it solo, and felt safe in the mountains and villages, and met some nice people doing the same thing. Although, you of course have to have some mountain hiking experience and good endurance to enjoy this. Staying in the guesthouses was great (esp. food!), and I recommend going in early July — I often was alone in the dorm rooms. I booked all guesthouses via Whatsapp (just found the number and read reviews on Google maps), and “full board” included a bed, breakfast, dinner and ingredients for lunch sandwich, and hot shower and Wi-Fi ofc.
