We had a great time in Salento. The Cocoa Valley and the huge palm trees are impressive, but it’s very touristic. It’s a good spot to arrive when you arrive in Colombia and don’t speak much Spanish since they’re very used to tourists!

Solo travel
I went to Salento and I had a great time there. I participated in a coffee farm tour, hiked through the Cocora Valley, visited Filandia and went horse riding. I felt really safe and met other travelers. Around 2:00 pm every day there was heavy rainfall, but there were plenty of charming cafes where you could take shelter. Salento is a great place for adventures, beautiful landscapes, and fresh air.
