I think Graz is a beautiful town with full of history to see. I would suggest if you travel alone to stay in the more visited areas at night time and to take precautions when going home late for example going by Uber is more safe than a regular taxi in my opinion.

Graz is a very safe city. You don't have to be afraid to walk home in the dark. The public transportations are also safe. Moreover, all parts of the city are safe. Where I wouldn't want to be alone in the dark, however, is the district of Grieß, the city park and the train station. However, not for the reason that it is unsafe, but there are often stranger people.

Graz is really safe and beautiful city. I am living it in here for 2 months and i am happy in here. If you want to travel around city you should use bikes. It is way easier and cheap way of doing it. I think you will enjoy here!
