The law enforcement authorities are also dependable. However, like anywhere else, it’s always essential to exercise common sense and be aware of your surroundings.

Transport:Easy

Lausanne, a compact city, is quite easy to navigate. The city is well-designed with an efficient public transportation system, allowing easy access to major attractions, shopping districts, and eateries. The metro, buses, and taxis are reliable options, however, it's also a walkable city if you're staying centrally. Do note that it is built on three big hills, which could be challenging for some. Also, most locals speak French, with English not as frequently spoken, which might pose small communication challenges.

Lausanne is a vibrant city full of museums, galleries and stunning parks. You can enjoy breathtaking views from Sauvabelin Tower, lose yourself in the cobblestone streets of the old town, step into the spiritual serenity of the Cathedral of Notre Dame, or explore conceptual art at Museum of Contemporary Design and Applied Arts. The city is also known for being a hub of sporting activities, offering great paths for jogging, biking and walking by Lake Geneva. The food scene, particularly around Rue de Bourg and Place de la Riponne, is diverse and caters to all palates. Despite its small size, there is a wide range of things to immerse yourself in during your stay in Lausanne.
