Is Bern good for solo travel?

Safety:

Safety:Very safe

Bern is considered incredibly safe for solo female travelers. The crime rate is low, people are usually helpful and respectful, and public transportation operates reliably. Like any city, it's important to remain aware of your surroundings, especially at night, but the general atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming.
Transport:

Transport:Very easy

Bern is very accessible even for solo female travelers. The city's layout is compact, making it easy to explore on foot or by bike. Additionally, its public transportation network is comprehensive, timely, and safe. The locals are also generally friendly and willing to help tourists. English is widely spoken which simplifies navigation.
Things to do:

Things to do:Interesting

Bern, the capital of Switzerland, offers a myriad of activities for solo female travelers. The city is incredibly safe and you can comfortably walk around, even at night, to appreciate the medieval architecture. It hosts the Bear Park, the prominent Clock Tower with its astronomical clock, and numerous historical museums, including the Zentrum Paul Klee. Furthermore, the Aare River provides an opportunity for swimming. Don’t forget to stroll through the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Old City of Bern, with its quaint shops and lovely cafes. Despite its charm and packed offerings, Bern does not have as much vibrancy and diversity of activities compared to larger international cities.
Food:

Food:Above average

Bern exhibits a rich and varied gastronomical scene, allowing you to taste both local Swiss and international cuisines. Indulge in the famous Swiss cheese, chocolates, or Rosti. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options are also available. However, dining out can be a little pricey compared to other places.
Budget:

Budget:Expensive

Bern is known for its high standard of living and consequently, high costs. While the city is steeply rich in history, culture, and activities, expenses on accommodation, dining, and attractions can add up quickly. However, conscious budgeting and planning can help some navigate the costs, but it leans towards the pricier end of travel destinations.

In general, the city is pretty safe. However, please do take care of yourself and your belongings at the train stations. It seems to be the main place where the drug addicts flock to. I stayed in an Airbnb 20mins away from the train station and I’m still exploring the city. People are generally nice here as well.

I visited Bern for the 4th time and it was wonderful as ussual, I had very nice weather so I walked around mostly. I felt very safe walking by myself. You should see the bear park and walk around if you can and eat some michelin star delicious sweets near there. The old city is wonderful to walk around too, you have shops there as well. Visit Thun the city and the lake if you have the time. Also trains and trams are very reliable so use that. Everything is pretty expensive so preapre yourself.

Bern is a small town, swiss people are very polite, we don‘t have a lot of crimes. There‘s still some sexual harrasement happening, but in a minimal amount. The city is very clean, the police offers help in emergency and isn‘t corrupt at all. Robbers aren‘t a thing here
