Muscat and oman in general is one of the safest and most quiet places. The people here are very respectful. It's safe to the point that I don't worry to leave my things around like my phone or purse. It's rare to hear about crimes. Like if such a thing happened it will be all over the news because of how rare. I usually go out with my friend alone travel to other cities. I sometimes stay out till 4 am and it's safe. I really recommend it.

Oman is a safe and clean country, and the locals will welcome you with open arms. If you are a foreigner, they are just intrigued to know more about you. They all know English as well. It’s a beautiful place filled with beaches and mountains.
