How safe is Luxembourg?

Safety at night:

Safety at night:Safe

Luxembourg is generally very safe even at night; the country maintains a relatively low crime rate. However, like any place, it is always advisable to keep your wits about you. Stay in well-lit areas, avoid deserted streets, and try to not appear vulnerable or lost. While the country is safe, common sense and precautions should always be followed.
Public transportation:

Public transportation:Safe

Luxembourg's public transportation, which encompasses buses, trams, and trains, is generally safe and a very efficient way to navigate the city and even the country. The stations are well-lit and have security measures, and the frequency is considerable high, thereby ensuring you will not be stranded. Ensure to abide by general safety rules such as guarding your belongings, not traveling too late at night, and being aware of your surroundings.
Street harassment:

Street harassment:Low

Luxembourg is generally a very safe country with low incidents of street harassment. The locals are quite respectful and it's unusual for one to face any form of harassment. However, as with any destination, caution is always advised especially during late hours in less crowded places.
Petty crimes:

Petty crimes:Very low

Luxembourg is known as one of the safest countries in Europe. Petty crimes such as pickpocketing and purse-snatching do occur, but they are relatively rare, particularly if tourists take basic precautions such as keeping valuable items out of sight, not leaving bags and belongings unattended, and avoiding poorly lit or deserted areas late at night.

im living in leuven, belgium so luxembourg was just a few hours away by train, we decided to do a day trip there and we loved it, the weather was amazing which was a nice surprise and all the transports there are free which we appreciated, it has a nice equilibrium between the city part and nature and there is a lot of portuguese people and cafes, for us it was nice since we are all portuguese amd are living abroad it felt like a reminder or home

Luxembourg City, Solo travel

I made it as a day trip from Frankfurt and started very early in the morning. Thanks to 49Euros ticket, we are able to travel not only within Germany everywhere for countless times but also cover countries that share border with Germany. I managed to cover to do things within city, had a nice time exploring the tunnel, famous bridge and rested a bit in the mountain top coffee shop over a wine! It was indeed a beautiful experience

Hello, I would like to tell you about my day trip to Luxemburg. First of all, Luxemburg is a wonderful country and a country where you can feel safe. Nobody treats you or looks at you badly. Keep people calm and relaxed You can tour the city center on foot, it can be a lot of fun if the weather is warm Since we stayed for 1 day, we couldn't visit much, but I can recommend this place "Archaeological Crypt, Crypte archéologique" Also, I can definitely recommend the place called "Partigiano", the prices are affordable, the service is very good. You can enjoy your meal

Luxembourg, Solo travel

I loved Luxembourg. I went there by Flixbus from Brussels. I bought a Luxembourg ticket for 20€ for 2 days, which allowed me to enter many attractions and use public transport for free throughout the country. I went to Clervaux and Vianden and just walked around the charming towns.

Luxembourg, Solo travel

Luxembourg is wonderful! It's a small country with a diverse natural landscape, full of castles and charming towns, and the capital is modern while also being full of history. My favorite place in Luxembourg was Grund, a beautiful valley right in the middle of the city.

Luxembourg

Luxembourg is a very safe place to visit. There could be some weird people at the main train station at night, but there is pretty much nothing to worry about, because there is security. The same goes for taking trains during the night/early morning.

Luxembourg

I do actually fund it safe, it’s like most places, because there are places you know it’s best not to go a certain hour or alone, but even tho it still has that, I am not really scared at all here, i’m a small women (21y) 1,40m so I look like a kid most of the times and still nothing happened to me until now, even when in the past I went to tricky places and even there nothing happened, so I do think it’s pretty safe
