Very nice city with lots of cultural stuff to do. I felt very safe and respected as a solo traveller. I met a lot of nice peoples in my hostel. We did things together and it was a grest experience for me travelling alone.

I was in Copenhagen before Christmas with a friend, the city was totally safe! But we felt like there are not much to do! Though we enjoyed the time we had there! From Xmas decorations, Tivoli gardens and we took a guided boat tour through the canals. We walked everywhere and only used the train from/to airport. We also went on a day trip to Malmö which I don't really recommend if you don't have plans what to do there! It was boring for us really! The food was great, especially the burgers and the cardamom pastries were so special! Also the vanilla cookies were amazing! We stayed at Steel House Hostel and got a room with views to the canals for 30 Euors a night! The hostel was very clean and provided great amenities for the price!

Copenhagen was always a bucket list city for me, and as one of my first soli travel destinations I really enjoyed it! I stayed at NextHouse Copenhagen, which was a lot fancier (and priced accordingly) than hostels I was used to in other cities. Had I found a cheaper alternative, NextHouse would probably not have been my first choice, but it is an excellent “luxury hostel” that offers a very social atmosphere, group events, lots of in-house entertainment (gym, games, social nights) and is very accessible to the center of the city. The highlights of my stay were exploring Freetown Christiania (free) and visiting the Museum of Architecture (6€ entry). I recommend trying some local food as well, I know Nordic food often gets a bad rap in terms of blandness but Danish food offers lovely variations on pickled & preserved fish/veggies.
Posted: September 17, 2024I went to Copenaghen in March 2024, i went there to meet a friend i was staying a bit out of Copenaghen (20mns by train) i walked alone in this little city in the morning and was fully safe, i visited the city with him and my 2 other female friends, we also went alone a couple of times and always felt safe, it was easy to move around and everyone speak even a little bit of English. We all had a lot of fun!
Posted: September 8, 2024Experienced: February, 2024I did my very first experience as couch surfer while i was travelling alone and I felt completely safe!! I loved the experience. Copenhagen is a very tidy and cleaned city, full of young people and full of things to do!! Many ways to enjoy the city.
Posted: August 7, 2024A week long trip wit hmy mother, we stayed at CPH studio hotel, it was very comfortable and close to the metro station and Lidl. near there was also a beach we went to walk by. We visited Tivoli, Glyptotek, and took a boat tour! We also went to eat and shop around. I felt safe because we were sightseeing in the daytime and early evening and i was with my mom, and i took evening walks near CPH studio, overall lovely experience, we were visiting during April and it was very windy so that was annoying at times, and there was a group of guys who i guess tried to talk to me because i had a kiss mark on my cheek as a makeup look, but it was a very quick interaction and it wasnt bothersome, copenhagen felt very safe and me and my mom had a nice time visiting!

I went to Copenhagen with a large group. Honestly, it was EXTREMELY safe ( I am a black woman for reference). There was never even a second that I felt unsafe. I was out with one other person walking back from a dance club at like 3am and there was no sketchy activity or anything that made me look over my shoulder. It was beautiful in the summer. Coming from the US, I believe the exchange rate was about 7 of their DKK was equal to 1 of our USD, and I felt that things were priced pretty appropriately, especially for a city center.
Posted: July 15, 2024Experienced: June, 2022I had a gratis time in Copen Hagen. If you like good food go to wallmans circus. When I was there I booked the dinner experience. You get a couple of courses and an awesome show. Every year a different theme. The sights are in good walking distence but you can hire a bike. That is safe and fast. Copenhagen has some thriftstores you can go to. Out of the city centre. You can reach them by bus or with the bike.

I liked Copenhagen very much. It has a beautiful architecture. Its people are truly as happy as they say. It has clean streets, and there are free music events in the evenings in front of the City Council building. People are dancing and having fun. You can see many cyclists. Beer is cheap at the grocery store

Copenhagen, Denmark was an amazing country and experience for my family and I. We all felt incredibly safe, even walking around at night. Since we stayed there for a week, we got the copenhagen card pass which covered multiple attractions and transportation (I highly recommend). The transportation was efficient, on time, and fast, but be prepared to walk plenty nonetheless. We went to plenty of different galleries, and popular tourist sights such as the Amelienborg Palace, Reffen food market, and fun places like Tivol Gardens amusement parks, which I all recommend. If you’d like to know my specific recommendations, where I stayed, and my itinerary, feel free to message me!

The safest for most parts. 95% of the areas are safe to travel to. I haven’t had anything stolen etc. going out at night for drinks is safe too. And if you don’t feel like walking home there is public transportation and caps everywhere

City center, Vesterbro, Nørrebro, Østerbro, Amager, Islands Brygge and Sydhavn are overall safe places. Of course scetchy people walk around from time to time, as in any major city but I'd say a travel to Copenhagen requires no special safety preparations, other than common sense :)

My name's Alyssa, I'm 28 :) Native French but I speak fluent english and am learning danish. Always up for meeting new people, sharing a drink, recommending places, having fun new conversations (nerdy topics are encouraged) and anything really. Turns out making friends when you're not a student anymore is hard (who'd have thought??) so here I am. Don't be a stranger, say hi!
