If you stay in the right places and in a group you’ll be generally okay, keep the head up and mind yourself. My Mexican friends have experienced discrimination however and these people don’t hesitate to put hands on you- idk how common this is though. Do we really feel safe anywhere?

I have only lived here for a few months now, but I have felt relatively safe. I’ve had a couple of encounters with weird/creepy men at bus stops, but generally I feel pretty safe here! Walking around at night isn’t too bad. One thing to note is that the bus service stops around midnight.
