Is County Kerry Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

A week of hiking in Kerry: magnificent weather, breathtaking scenery, and wonderful encounters along the way. It’s very safe for hitchhiking; in the countryside, I even ended up staying one night with people I’d met earlier that day—a lovely, very welcoming couple.

It’s generally very safe overall, with lovely attractions and friendly people. There is little crime, but as with any city, it's wise to be aware of your surroundings. Overall, it is a safe place to visit for solo travelers and for those who have never visited Ireland.
