Street harassment:Low
Kupang, being a generally conservative city in Indonesia, tends to have a low level of street harassment. Locals are used to seeing foreigners and are usually respectful, although occasional harmless attention directed at foreigners, particularly women, cannot be ruled out. However, this is mostly out of curiosity rather than any form of aggressive behavior. It is always a good idea to dress modestly, respecting the local culture and traditions. Late-night outings should preferably be avoided unless you are in a group. Again, these are precautions, not indicative of a high level of street harassment.
