Sofia
Cyprus is a safe country in general, as well as Limassol, the city I live in. As women we always have to be careful tho, so I wouldn’t say it’s 100% safe, but I would say a solid 85% safe for women.
Posted: February 2, 2026limassol is pretty safe. its very quiet here and not much of a party scene so its hard to get in trouble but the men here, usually the middle Eastern, Turkish, Arab men are very aggressive and bold to say the least. they aren't shy to cat call you or slowly pull their cars up next to you or even poke their heads out the window to shout or call you. A friend and I got followed once. we were in the downtown area but it was still very creepy.
Posted: August 5, 2025As long as you dont walk alone at night in touristic areas, you will be fine. Cypriots are not usually the problem, foreigners that live in Cyprus sometimes are, usually arabic. Be aware and stay safe

Hello! My name is Sofia and I live in Cyprus. A small island in the Mediterranean Sea, that is in European Union. I studied mathematics and statistics, and I have my master’s degree in data analytics. I work as a strategy and operations manager in a tech company based in Europe. I mostly work from home which helps me travel a lot. I love traveling and I do it as frequent as I can, although sometimes it’s difficult to find company so I’m doing it alone. It would be great to meet some women with the same interests to travel with! My main goal for 2026 and 2027 is to visit countries in Asia. I’m ready to also host some women that want to experience Cyprus with a local.
