All the downtown area of San Juan, as well as the Capital and Rivadavia districts, are the safest areas. It’s a small city, so after 10 p.m. it’s hard to find public transportation. It’s a calm place — you’ll see grandmothers drinking mate on the sidewalk at night, and children playing in the streets on Sundays in residential neighborhoods. It’s a very peaceful and safe city, but also very traditional, so try not to dress too extravagantly. Also, keep in mind that it’s unlikely you’ll find people who speak English on the street, and in general it’s rare to come across foreigners. Don’t worry...

San Juan I safely in regular basis, you just need to know that there areas far no the and far south that are very dangerous mainly at night, and also some times during day time. The safest is to move around the capital city area y surroundings.
