Is Angola safe for solo female travelers?

Angola offers a unique cultural experience and breathtaking landscapes. However, safety can be an issue, particularly in urban areas where you might experience petty crime or theft. Solo female travelers should take precautions like avoiding isolated areas, not wearing flashy jewelry, and ensuring they have arranged trustworthy transportation in advance. Local law enforcement isn't always helpful so be aware of your surroundings and trust your instincts. As always, respecting local customs and being aware of your surroundings will optimize your safety.

Moçâmedes

Comparing to other Angolan cities/towns Moçâmedes (Namibe) is really calm. There are some of local disticts which are a bit dangerous and not recommended to come but in general people are nice and helpful. Kids begging on the streets are stubborn but not aggressive.
