Hi Gals I’m a 42year old lady living in the colombo suburbs. I wish I could say I’m a a regular person at day and moonlights at night, however I’m a doctor working at one of the largest hospitals in Colombo. Don’t let my profession discourage you! Is Colombo safe for female travelers?
Solo travel
I didn't feel safe. There were a lot of homeless people. Also, people on the street were begging for money, not only children. The bus driver tried to cheat me, and I lost some money. I would not recommend going alone at night.
