Douala, the largest city in Cameroon, is located along the Wouri River, in the southwestern coastal region of the country. Known for its bustling economic activities, Douala is the commercial capital, having Central Africa's largest port, which serves both Cameroon and its landlocked neighbors. The city offers a blend of modernity with an abundance of high-rise buildings and crowded markets, such as the famous Marché des Fleurs, where you can find everything from local produce to vibrant flowers. Douala is a cultural hub, showcasing rich Cameroonian history in sites like the Doual'Art Gallery and La Pagode, former palace of the Duala Manga Bell King. Its lively nightlife and blend of African, French and German influences make Douala a unique destination for travelers.

It was really nice, and it helps that I actually love the food since I am Cameroonian. Some places are not safe when you are alone but overall, it is a vibrant coastal city with lots of activities to do and amazing people to meet !
