About me

Salam! Hi! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I'm yekta. I'm from Iran and I've just moved to izmir with Reyhan. 👭🏽 We are here to study at the graduate level, and yes, we are a little nerdy but open-minded, social people, and goofy as well. 💝 In our culture as Iranians, hospitality is everything, and we spoil our guests to the most. 👩🏻‍🍳 Also, I am an excellent chef, according to my friends and Reyhan, just letting you know. I can cook you persian dishes if you like. 🎎 We both love hosting people in our cosy little apartment with great location, excellent facilities like gym and pool. 🍽 We may offer breakfast or dinner if we have time. 🫖 Hope we see you soon and drink çay with you on our balcony! 🏡 For more info, please leave us a message on WhatsApp: +542 347 0881 Or on Instagram: our.saffron.home

About me

Hiii My name is Sinem, I'm 20 years old and currently living in Lithuania as an Erasmus student. I’m originally from İzmir, Turkey, and I study Mechanical Engineering. I’ve always loved exploring new countries and learning about different cultures, which is why I enjoy using Couchsurfing — I believe meeting and talking with locals helps me understand a place in a much deeper and more authentic way. Over the past month and a half, I’ve had the chance to travel to Latvia, Sweden, Estonia, and Finland. I’m a curious person who’s always eager to learn new things, and I’d love to share my culture while discovering others’. Friends describe me as polite, respectful, and easy to get along with. I’m really looking forward to making meaningful connections along the way!

Is Izmir safe for women?

Generally speaking, It is a lively city with very structured demographic. You know what to expect from where you go at any hour as a local I would say. Touristic places are safer but have the danger of paying much more if it is obvious that you are a tourist. People are warm and accepting towards foreigners and mostly open to help. Many know English especially younger locals. However, some areas are not safe to visit even in broad daylight. Please ask a local before planning your trip.
