I was born in the US. I grew up mostly in Turkiye and I’ve traveled across the country. I lived in the Netherlands for 3 years. I graduated from Middle East Technical University in 2020. Since 2021 I have been teaching at a public elementary school in Şırnak Silopi, a city bordering Iraq and Syria.. After four years, I’m moving to Batman where I’ll be working for another 3 years. I absolutely love this part of the country and would like to show its beauty. I travel abroad every year especially for my birthday in January. So far, I have been to many European countries. I spend summers doing my hobbies. I love animals and I have a blind cat named Patchy

Is Ankara safe for women?
I’d say Ankara is the safest city in Turkey if you’re staying around the city center. Of course some neighbourhoods are the most dangerous ones in turkey but these are so far from the city that i wouldn’t consider them as a threat. i’ve been living here for 3 years and had never been in any kind of danger once. because it’s the capital city there are tons of police officers and soldiers everywhere.
Posted: November 19, 2025Deserted places can be scary late at night. But Turkish people are generally very helpful. You can ask people around you for help in any situation. Since it's the capital, there are police in most places.
