It's the safest place I have ever seen. People are so kind and rules are so strong. They have womens back and the police is easily available. You don't have to be worried about and also you can wear what ever u like
Posted: April 13, 2025Oman is an incredibly safe country, with a very low crime rate and virtually no violent or petty crime. The people are warm, friendly, and welcoming, especially towards foreigners, and all religions are respected. While walking around, you can feel safe even at night, though. There has been instances where i have been catcalled or followed but without any harm or interaction. However, these occurrences are rare and do not diminish the overall sense of security in the country. It is one of the most peaceful countries in the world.
Posted: March 25, 2025Muscat is a safe city. I would often take a stroll at night with no worries, as the hospitality-centric culture of the people reassures my worries on my safety. The only uncomfortable thing I would get is stares by other foreign workers.
Posted: February 16, 2025Muscat and oman in general is one of the safest and most quiet places. The people here are very respectful. It's safe to the point that I don't worry to leave my things around like my phone or purse. It's rare to hear about crimes. Like if such a thing happened it will be all over the news because of how rare. I usually go out with my friend alone travel to other cities. I sometimes stay out till 4 am and it's safe. I really recommend it.
