Comparatively Kathmandu is safe for women, ofc you need to avoid very shady places and not everyone is perfect but overall people are very helpful and would stand up for you if someone misbehaves and definitely safe to go out at night too. It always helps to be aware of situations though
Posted: November 1, 2025It is safe in the tourist areas. However, it’s better to not walk alone at midnight. If you are staying in the outskirts of valley, you need to be concerned about safety. Otherwise the city is pretty safe.
