Politics buff with an overwhelming sense of justice. Love people watching and silently judging from afar, and learning about the weird and unusual traditions in different cultures; seriously, ask me about the licking babushka sometime 😅 Slava Ukraini, Heroyam Slava 🇺🇦 From the river to the sea... 🇵🇸

Is Chefchaouen safe for women?

Despite its popularity as a tourist hot-spot, Chefchaouen has a small village mentality, and therefore everyone knows one another. The tourist areas are well policed by the local Tourist Police, and local residents are always polite, friendly and welcoming. Unlike other areas of Morocco, the haggling and harassment from shopkeepers is not at all aggressive and most tourists report a pleasant experience. I have walked all over Chefchaouen at all times of night and have never felt threatened or scared.
