Everybody is nice with me here, and surprised to see a young white girl. Manado is not a touristic city, but I never felt unsafe. (I was with an Indonesian man untill now, so I'll update if my safety change while being alone woman)

At night some areas poor street lighting and sidewalk or pedestrian paths are limited, which increase the risk of pickpocket or road accident if you're not careful.
