Is Cairo safe for women?
You are unlikely to be mugged, but it's quite likely you will be scammed/ppl will try to take advantage of language barriers and clueless looking gals, I do not recommend trusting taxis on the street, Always use an app, always double check your change.
Posted: October 25, 2025It's all about the low shady streets but mostly in good areas and over all it's pretty safe In cairo people almost don't sleep and streets are always crowded maybe around 3am people starting to go back home so you can be sure of being safe on the being late point also at worst cause people are so helpful here especially towards foreigners
