Baku is generally a safe city with low crime and welcoming locals. I have met female travelers and expats who often report feeling comfortable exploring the city, even in the evenings. As with any city, it’s best to stay aware of your surroundings, avoid poorly lit areas at night, and use trusted transportation apps or hotel-recommended taxis.
