Been here for a while, never have to worry about losing a thing while I'm going elsewhere for a moment People are kind, though they might not understand english perfectly but they tried their best to help if need, love it!

I've felt extremely safe here. All the locals were super friendly. Bags and helmets were left in the bikes, and nobody stole anything. Everyone was really helpful or left you alone. Communication is tough. There are not many people who speak English. Although the kids know some.
Posted: May 7, 2025I can sleep with the balcony open without worrying someone might break in. I thought that's already risky but somehow one of my friend can even open her main door entrance throughout the night. The people here are very friendly as well, you can leave a bike unattended on the road and hardly anyone would steal it from my experience. Just look out when some people try to overcharge you because you're tourist
Posted: May 6, 2025I used to go very late at night, but nothing had happened. Despite sometimes there was news about catcalling at night, but I have never experienced that. But for safety reason, I prefer to dress more covered and not show too much skin

Pretty safe here, people in nightlife also active frequently so it doesnt scare you that much when you walking alone around. Only need to keep an eyes on your belongings like cash, phone, and you'll be fine. The people are welcoming and friendly, if you feel scared or sb follows you, tell the locals near there and they'll do their best to keep you safe

I had no problem walking down a street during any period of the day. People were very lovely and friendly, always ready to help. Traffic is a bit chaotic but you get used to it. Overall I had a great time.

I spent about 3 weeks traveling solo in Vietnam and overall felt pretty safe—though there were a few moments that come with the territory of being a solo female traveler. I especially loved Da Nang, Huế, and Ninh Bình—each place had its own rhythm, and I could’ve easily stayed longer. I don’t remember my exact budget, but most of my spending definitely went toward flights and hotels. Getting around was surprisingly easy—trains, buses, and even local rides all worked out smoothly. I spent about five days in Hanoi, which in hindsight might have been a bit too long, but the food and coffee scene made up for it. It was a great trip overall. The food was incredible, the culture rich and welcoming, and the coffee—truly next level. Would absolutely go back.

Great food and even better people! My friends and I visited Hanoi, Vietnam for approximately a week a few months ago, and the experience still sticks with me. The attractions were amazing and we got to experience the local culture. Overall, a very vibrant and aesthetically rich region.
