How safe is Caracas?

Depending on the area where you are, it is quite safe; however, you should stay aware of your surroundings, especially if you are a foreigner outside of LATAM. You can be relatively safe in the east of the city, but you should be careful when walking downtown due to how crowded it is.

Caracas it’s a beautiful city, full of warm and funny people. But we do have a medium crime rate and we do live in a dictatorship. Right now, I would worry more about encounters with military or police forces.
