Depending on the area where you are, it is quite safe; however, you should stay aware of your surroundings, especially if you are a foreigner outside of LATAM. You can be relatively safe in the east of the city, but you should be careful when walking downtown due to how crowded it is.
Posted: July 21, 2025Caracas it’s a beautiful city, full of warm and funny people. But we do have a medium crime rate and we do live in a dictatorship. Right now, I would worry more about encounters with military or police forces.
