it’s one of the quietest most beautiful cities in tunisia it’s pretty safe to walk around no matter at what time especially in my town, quiet small and everyone knows each other as for police if anything occurs you can just dial the phone and they’ll be right there
Posted: December 25, 2024It's a safe place but like others cities around the world there is some places that you should not enter after dark . I wouldn't tell you that if you be in those streets 100% you get robbed or attacked but there is a chance of 50% so you must be carful . But overall soukra is a really nice place to shop or stop by . 2 streets that tourists don't enter usually other than that soukra is a really nice place 👌 😌
Posted: December 25, 2024I haven being leaving there for almost 4 years, and never been faced to threatening experiences. Once, 3 years ago, a stanger followed me and my friend for like 200 meters vut he did nothing, we think that he wanted to steal our phones. But eventually nothing happened and he vanished when we kept staring at him. Otherwise, i go back home from the university at 11.pm every day, and it s safe. Honestly, i feel safe in this town, and i can hang out after 00;00 with my friends without being worried and sometimes we take a walk after midnight, and it s just us in the road.. and here we are, safe.

The city is safe especially turistic places girls can walk alone in the street no matter what time is it but i advise girls to keep their belongings in safe places not leave them unattended, just for precaution
Posted: August 24, 2024It's a small seaside town the people are very open and easy going.. But sure some men talk and try there luck.. The crime level is like European moderate.. But I even sometimes let my things at the beach and go swim.. Bad happenings are more unlikely bad luck depending how to Manöver around..

Kerkennah Island is a haven of peace and serenity. One cool autumn night, I was taking a walk with a friend. We were the only ones on the street, and she, being alone, expressed some concern. "Aren't you scared?" she asked. My reply, a confident "No," was genuine. Kerkennah is the only place where I feel completely safe walking at night, gazing at the stars on the beach, or even camping alone. The reason for Kerkennah's safety, I believe, lies in our strong sense of community. We are a close-knit island, where everyone knows each other. There's an unspoken understanding that harming someone, especially a girl, is a violation of this bond. Respect and a shared fear of wrongdoing are the cornerstones of this harmony. This sense of security extends to visitors as well. Tourists on Kerkennah often remark on the welcoming atmosphere. Here, life is simple. People are deeply connected to their land, the sea (their primary source of livelihood), the palm trees that sustain them, and nature as a whole. This connection fosters a peaceful coexistence within the community and with visitors. It's important to note that while Kerkennah is generally safe, there can be exceptions. These are very uncommon and tend to involve outsiders. P.S. i only found Mellita in the option but my experience applies to every corner of Kerkennah, including my own home in Ouled Bou Ali.

Actually , Tunisia is a safe country especially when you're with someone and people are so welcoming ! Tunisia is considered safe for travelers due to its stable political situation, relatively low crime rates, and a strong focus on tourism security measures. The government works to ensure the safety of tourists by implementing security protocols and monitoring popular tourist destinations. But you should also be aware as in any country of strangers.

I stayed in Iberostar Royal El Mansour. It was amazing. The whole hotel grounds are secure, staff is very friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing. There was literally everything. I highly recommend the hotel spa as well. There were so many programs as well for example horse riding, caravana (camel riding), watching dolphins in the sea, quad riding, pirate ship trip and you could even rent a small plane but you had to do it with the help of your guide. I mostly used taxis to get around since it was the easiest way but i have to warn you they drive like crazy! (There was also a two day trip around Tunisia and Sahara that we were supposed to attend but couldn’t in the end due to health issues)
Posted: September 16, 2024Overall i think it s safe. I didn’t walk alone at night so i can’t comment on that. There is a lot of activities that you can do like enjoying a hike in the nature, doing cultural activities like visiting museums, the old town to enjoy arabic architecture, visiting mosques etc. The beach is very clean and peaceful. Overall very nice expensive at a low budget. Also people were super friendly and very welcoming.
