I’d say for tourist Nassau is really safe. As you know everywhere you go you should be aware of your surroundings. Great solo destination as well. Solo travelers are well respected so there’s no major concern about safety
Posted: March 15, 2024Overall a good trip, the accommodation was close to the cruise port which got very busy during the time cruise ships were in port. The beaches are very loud and busy, and not the most clean in this area due to the tourists. The west side of the island of Nassau is less busy with significantly fewer tourists. Overall a lot cleaner as well and the beaches are quiet, clean white sand. Given the option, this side would be a better area to stay if you are not looking for nightlife or day partying. Locals are very friendly and helpful although catcalling is highly prevalent.
