Dont wear something luxurious especially when you are in Chair. While using public transport put everything in your bag and hold tight. Dont hold your phone while walking. Dont park to the places that you dont know. Dont get in taxis unless you called them from application. thats it <4

I felt safe while walking down the street in the morning or evening. I was safe where I spent time, I enjoyed. Many of the people I met were friendly and warm-hearted. They were benevolent. As a tourist, I never felt uncomfortable while traveling and exploring. I traveled safely
Posted: February 12, 2025I'm with my friends. We go out together, but when I go out alone, I pay attention to public transportation and crowded places. But in Macedonia, people go home very early. There is no night culture and being on the street alone sometimes feels nice and sometimes dangerous.

it’s quite safe, but still always be careful and act like a local. for public transport there are older men that stare but just stare at them back weirdly and they will back off. ive came home at 4am and the city is just empty but always try to get home the safest and fastest way and be aware of taxi sacamers!
Posted: February 2, 2025It is pretty safe. People sometimes can look weird but the city is safe. I recommend not going alone into old bazaar and that side of the bridge (after old bazaar). Other than that it is good its nice

Skopje is a very safe city, especially because of its small population, which means almost everyone knows each other. There’s no crowding, and I can say it’s safe precisely because of the low population density.
Posted: January 1, 2025Overall, it is a pretty safe city. However, there could be homeless/sketchy people walkingg around in the city center - but they are most often harmless. Except in the winter times, people are walking freely on the streets even after midnight. Especially in the summer, you could walk at 5am by yourself and still be OK.

It's a small city of around 10K citizens and pretty safe for solo traveling women. People are helpful and hospitable. One concern is the stray dogs. They don't attack if not teased but it's better to be aware.
Posted: August 28, 2024It's a very safe place to live. It is a small country with good people, good food, and positive vibes. There are many great food places to visit. The mountains are amazing for hiking. We have one of the oldest lakes in Europe. The viewpoints are very nice.
