Moldova is not a really big country, which makes it somehow a bit more safe than the other ones, especially if you’re here in a city I really think there is nothing to worry about, just take care of your personal things, in any case. About villages, yeah, they’re safe too, but not as much as the cities and at night they may be a bit darken. Fell free to visit us, the people here are so kind!🥰💕

Chisinau is a safe place most of the times, as a local single woman I didn’t have any unpleasant or bad experience walking alone in a park or at the night. From a 1-10 scale of safety I would put a strong 7.

Chișinău is a very safe place to be in. I want you to visit, because you shouldn't worry about your safety and the people are open to help you in any situation. Just make sure to be careful when walking at night, but in general the crime rate is low.

I'm originary from Moldova so I can say that it's not very usuall to have some troubles here. Usually people are kind and ready to help. Sometimes, in the dark I feel a bit in danger if I see drunk people or street dogs. I hope that all the girls that would visit Moldova to be as safe as I was all my life of living here.
Posted: March 24, 2025Only one incident of verbal harassment, and by young men, but likely because my female friend and I snuck a kiss on the escalator in the mall. Luckily I don't understand most Russian, so I just smiled.. she cursed at them 🤣
Posted: February 11, 2025I lived there for 20 years. Tbh this town of eastern Europe makes me feel safer than the french town I live in. I often walked in Chisinau on late nights, literally crossing the whole capital by foot and never had any bad situation (I guess lucky me). Police also have cameras on them, which french police doesn't have unfortunately. If you're in the center or around I would say you're pretty safe.
