Everywhere you can find a police in the streets. I have never experienced something bad in public actually thanks god. People are kind and helpful. But I don’t prefer for a lady solo travel to visit any place in Amman especially at night. Not all places are the same.
Posted: January 14, 2025Its very safe but like any other country there are a couple of areas to stay away from if you are alone, i love it , its very full of life and amazing people and the food is amazing , just make sure to check the price before buying anything and would recommend ubers instead of taxis
Posted: January 11, 2025Amman is considered a very safe city , of course some parts of the city are safer than others , but people are mostly nice here. Jordan is considered a safe country , people are very welcoming and generous. I recommend visiting it.
Posted: January 2, 2025Amman in general is a safe city and I can say that to whole Jordan, yes it's in a region where it's not so stable, but Jordan always managed to be a safe country. In Amman you can walk in the streets not worried, but mostly you might just get looks or something, but other than that people are in general very friendly and inviting, you will feel very welcomed, and you might even get invited to drink tea in someone's random house :)

Well it’s relatively safe however we do have a lot of harassment especially towards women. Depending on the area you are in whether it’s a higher income area or a lower one the treatment you receive is different however if you are western you might be treated better than an Arab!
Posted: December 26, 2024Even though it is next to palestine, a country experiencing political unrest and violence, Jordan remains safer than ever. No one should have any concerns visiting this country. Be safe and safe travels!

Women walk alone night and day without anything happening to us. We might get catcalled but thats the maximum level of harassment an average women here would get. Amman is the safest city in Jordan to go out and about on your own, with very safe public transport.
Posted: December 24, 2024Amman is safe area , safest place to stay in is west amman especially Abdoun, Khalda, Dabouq. Avoid show you body parts especially in east amman try to be covered. Avoid short shorts and short skirts.
Posted: December 22, 2024I lived in Amman for a year. Personally, I didn't feel unsafe once. As a white woman, I attracted a lot of attention, but personally, I didn't feel as if I am in danger. People will say "welcome to jordan" quite often, and honk, but mostly, the honking comes from taxis indicating that they are free to offer a ride. I didn't fear being robbed, it didnt happen to any f my friends or me. Cover shoulders and legs out of respect, and wear clothes that are comfortable for you. At night, I either took a bus or an uber/taxiF/Jeeny. East Amman is (according to some friends) a little 'unsafer' than Central and West Amman, so be cautious and try to go with a group. In other areas, i walked alone almost all the time and felt secure.
Posted: September 2, 2024Amman is very safe place, just make sure not to wear something too revealing. Being respectful and moderate will help you alot, people are so friendly when approaching to them and try to help in all ways. Trying to speak to you is something normal as they will try hard to show you how welcoming they are.

Posted: January 18, 2024Experienced: September, 2023My experience in Jordan was amazing! We started in Amman with a two nights stay. People are amazing and really lovely, friendly! At first I didnt know what to expect from Jordan but at the end of the day I realized how safe I actually felt. Afterwards we went to Wadi Rum. We bought a guided tour with a night stay in the desert and it was magical experience. The locals were so friendly and nice. Food was probably the best I ever ate in a foreign country. We then went to Wadi Musa to see Petra and the tour was just amazing. We saw a lot and it was worth every step! We walked from 7 am until 4 pm. The last location was the dead see and well... once you are there you just have to get inside and take a swim. It feels like flying and the water is just great. You have showers there (depends where you go) because after a while you can feel the itch because of the salt. Well thats it! The food was amazing, locals were amazing, prices were solid. The total money I spet for 6 days was maybe around 500€
