It is very hot and there is a lot of rain. In general, it seems like a very safe and peaceful city. It's just a little small and there are few activities to do. I'm a little bored alone.ı hope ı meet someone

I feel very safe, but I don't like the food. Tokyo's food is much better than Kyoto's. Kyoto is a very quaint city with not much activity. I am staying in a hostel by myself and haven't had much opportunity to meet anyone. However, the people of Kyoto are nice.

Fantastic! Best first solo travel experience. Cheap food, amazing culture, extremely friendly Japanese folks ready to help you out. Many of them speak English too! I never felt unsafe as a petite female.

I’m a Filipina teacher based in Kyoto, Japan. I like traveling during my long breaks. I’m currently in India and going to Vietnam soon.
